Mission
NTS is an Italian company founded in Genova in 2001 with the mission of becoming a leader in the power electronics and control sector, with products and services dedicated to the most sophisticated sectors such as the defense industry, the naval industry, and the railway industry.
NTS pursues this goal through a combination of internal and external growth, achieved through acquisitions of specialized players that excel in high-end markets such as defense, naval, and railway.
NTS is also evolving through an increasing international presence in order to position itself and compete in a global market.
History & Performance
The company has grown organically and through acquisitions in recent years, implementing a more targeted acquisition strategy that has led to compound growth of four times the total revenue over a four-year period.
The most significant acquisitions in recent years were Mesar Srl in 2016, a leader in power electronics for the defense and railway sectors, and SAE Electronic Conversion in 2018 (and completed in 2020), a leader in the naval sector.
NTS is currently focused on the defense, railway, and naval sectors, but also has a significant presence in diverse industrial sectors where it can leverage its technical and technological expertise.
These sectors include industrial applications, automotive, and medical equipment.
The group has a wide customer base with the predominant presence of the most important market players and well-known brands in their respective application sectors.
Technologies and Capabilities
The companies that are part of the group have distinct competencies and capabilities, and each company that becomes part of the group is integrated and transformed into an excellence center for the group.
NTS’s competencies include EMS (electronic manufacturing services) for its customers, and EES (electronic engineering services) such as the design and production of prototypes (hardware/software and mechanical design) for proprietary products, customized to meet the needs of its customers.
Mesar specializes in the design and production of electrical and electronic devices, with a particular focus on power converters for the railway, naval, and aerospace sectors. Mesar is able to offer its customers a wide range of technical support and assistance services, including the repair of electromechanical and electronic devices with a high technical content, as well as periodic and preventive maintenance packages.
SAE’s main strength is its ability to customize products, technical services, and maintenance programs for electronic naval equipment located worldwide.
SAE designs and produces UPS, battery chargers, inverters, frequency converters, and DC/DC converters.
SAE has over 40 years of successful presence in the naval sector, but also operates in the defense, railway, and industrial sectors.
